☀️ Summer Camp - Midway Moments & Magic ☀️

As we reach the midpoint of our Summer Camp Programme, we’re delighted to share just how much our young learners have achieved in just a few short weeks.

From confident conversations in English to crafted stories, creative projects, and lively team games, our students aged between 8 to 15 year-olds continue to amaze us with their enthusiasm, kindness, and curiosity. It’s been a joy to watch new friendships blossom, confidence grow, and laughter fill our classrooms and playgrounds.

🗺️ Whether they’re exploring, presenting, or problem-solving, every child is learning in a way that’s joyful and meaningful — exactly what summer should be about!

A special thank you to our wonderful parents for your continued trust and support. Your children are thriving, and we’re honoured to be a part of their summer story.

With more exciting adventures still to come — including special celebration days, mini performances, and outdoor discovery — we’re looking forward to making the second half just as magical as the first.

Warm regards,
The ELC Team

Meet the teachers at ELC Malaysia

We’re proud to introduce some of our dedicated teachers whose passion and creativity inspire our students to learn, grow, and thrive.

Today, please meet Teacher Noelia, from Argentina. She graduated from National University of La Plata as a Public English Translator. She has also earned a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA).

Meet some of our Japanese Students at UOW Malaysia Campus

Maho Moriuchi, Japan

Malaysia offers a wide variety of food, which really surprised me. I was especially surprised by nasi lemak—it tastes different depending on where you get it, and the flavor combinations are very different from Japanese food. Also, at UOW Malaysia, I enjoy shopping at the MyNews convenience store. It’s very convenient since it’s within walking distance. I found out about ELC through my teacher. When I decided to study in Malaysia, the UOW Malaysia had already been chosen by my home university. Sometimes I couldn’t understand what the English language teachers were saying, but they always took the time to explain things again. I found that very helpful and supportive.

After this, I would like to study Marketing because my dream is to become a marketer for the popular brand “Peanuts,” which features the Snoopy characters. I really love those characters.

When the Vietnamese students were here, I made many new friends. At that time, my English wasn’t very good, but they helped me improve a lot. I don’t usually go out much, but we visited Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Pyramid, and some other famous places together. We still keep in touch through chats and video calls.

Our Students’ Activities

In Historic Malacca - A weekend well spent

On a hot Saturday, our students braved the sun for a memorable day exploring Malacca, one of Malaysia’s most iconic historical cities. With roots tracing back to the 1400s, Malacca’s rich heritage offers a fascinating glimpse into Malaysia’s colonial past, blending influences from Portuguese, Dutch, British, and Peranakan cultures. From A Famosa Fort to Stadthuys Square, every corner tells a story.

Despite the heat, spirits were high, and the experience was a meaningful reminder that learning often happens best beyond the classroom — through history and culture.

Colmar French and Japanese Village in Bukit Tinggi

Our latest excursion took us to a unique themed resort in Pahang, where two worlds meet. First, we wandered through Colmar Tropicale, a French-inspired village with cobblestone streets, pastel façades, and quaint shops that felt straight out of Europe.

Then, just a short distance away, we entered the tranquil charm of the Japanese Village, surrounded by lush botanical gardens and traditional tea houses. Our students even had the chance to dress in authentic Japanese attire. We all had fun in a day “abroad” while still in tropical Malaysia.
