🌟 A Summer of Learning, Laughter & Discovery 🌟

We’re thrilled to share that our Summer Camp Programme is in full swing — and what a fantastic few weeks it’s been so far.

With children aged between 8 to 15 year-olds joining us from all over, the classrooms and activity halls at ELC have been alive with energy, curiosity, and creativity. From dynamic English lessons to arts & crafts, games, and cultural exchanges, each day has offered new adventures and meaningful learning experiences. Our young learners are not only growing in confidence with their English skills, but also building friendships, teamwork, and memories that will last long after the summer ends.

As we continue through the rest of the programme, we look forward to even more fun, growth, and unforgettable moments.

Thank you for being part of the ELC family! 💙

Warm wishes,
The ELC Team

We’ve also had the privilege of hosting our Summer Camp Programme for over 20 Kazakhstan teenagers, offering them a rich and immersive educational experience. During their stay, students engaged in interactive English language classes, participated in cultural exchange activities, and explored local attractions through guided excursions. The programme not only helped them improve their language skills but also fostered global friendships, built confidence, and provided valuable insights into academic life abroad.

Meet the inspiring teachers shaping our students community

We’ve welcomed exceptional talent from Malaysian universities, expanding our academic resources and enhancing the learning journey for our students. It's our pleasure to introduce a few of these outstanding educators.

Meet some of our Japanese Students at UOW Malaysia Campus

Hikaru Nakatani, Japan

I found ELC through my university and a travel agent. It was part of my university’s study abroad program. There were many options, but I chose Malaysia because the program includes an internship as well. The lessons at ELC are very good because they focus a lot on oral communication skills. The teachers always prepare activities that encourage us to speak more. We get many opportunities to speak English through presentations and Q&A sessions in class. I will return to Japan and continue studying English. I’m currently in my third year at university, so I need to start job hunting. I would like to work in a field related to tourism, using my English skills.
During my time in Malaysia, I often go to Sunway Pyramid as I love shopping and the prices in Malaysia are also very affordable, which I really appreciate. About a month ago, I went to a convenience store and some people asked me about my nationality. It turned out they were also Japanese university students. After that, they showed me some good restaurants and great spots for shopping too.

Minori Yamane, Japan

Before I came to Malaysia, I thought it might be dangerous, but I found that Malaysians are actually very kind. Many places are also quite clean, which was a pleasant surprise. I found ELC through my university. I joined a study abroad program and chose Malaysia as my destination. I think the teachers are very kind, and each of them has a different teaching style. Teacher Shumie’s English is very clear and easy to understand. Teacher Adlina is also very helpful.
I will continue my internship in Malaysia. After that, I plan to retake the TOEIC test, as I have taken it a few times before. I met many foreigners here and made some great friends.
One of my favorite memories is going shopping and having dinner with my Vietnamese friends. It was a very special experience for me.

Our Students’ Activities

Exploring Putrajaya

Our students had an awesome time checking out Putrajaya. The city’s full of cool, modern architecture – like the rose-coloured Putra Mosque with its pink dome, and the huge green-domed Perdana Putra, where the Prime Minister’s office is. They also saw the unique Putra Bridge, which was inspired by Iranian design and looks out over the beautiful man-made lake. The day kicked off with a fun bike ride, followed by a relaxing boat ride on the lake and a visit to the mosque. It was a fun and chill way to learn more about Malaysia’s administrative capital.

Announcement on Malaysia’s revised 6% SST

Under the revised Malaysia Sales and Service Tax (SST) rules came into effect on July 1 2025, a 6% service tax will apply to private education services provided to non-Malaysian students. This includes preschools, schools, colleges, universities, and language centres, although public education remains fully exempt.
Please note, we will include the 6% SST on all course fees i.e. materials, tuition, and student visa fees (except accommodation cost) starting from 1 September 2025.
