I found out about ELC through my teacher. When I decided to study in Malaysia, the UOWM had already been chosen by my home university. Sometimes I couldn’t understand what the English language teachers were saying, but they always took the time to explain things again. I found that very helpful and supportive. After this, I would like to study Marketing because my dream is to become a marketer for the popular brand “Peanuts,” which features the Snoopy characters. I really love those characters.
Malaysia offers a wide variety of food, which really surprised me. I was especially surprised by nasi lemak—it tastes different depending on where you get it, and the flavor combinations are very different from Japanese food. Also, at UOWM, I enjoy shopping at the MyNews convenience store. It’s very convenient since it’s within walking distance. When the Vietnamese students were here, I made many new friends. At that time, my English wasn’t very good, but they helped me improve a lot. I don’t usually go out much, but we visited Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Pyramid, and some other famous places together. We still keep in touch through chats and video calls.
